rookieg, I bought a 14' Lowe FM14 with evinrude 9.9 electric start for $600.00

I have one from the 80's. Have to patch it periodically but I still love it. I usually put some air in it first before installing the floor boards. I also found sliding the oars under the boat lifts the floor boards up a bit. This helps when locking in the side slats

When I bought my bombard 360 and futura mk2, Mike was very helpful in walking me through the whole process. The whole crew at IBC do a great job! Very pleasant place to do business!

Looks like a bit of a struggle, and this guy knows what he is doing!

I have a 1969 g.r. mk3. valves all still work great. Slight leak in keel.
I try to get it out once or twice a year. Still lots of fun. -
why are their only 3 primary tubes. If you puncture side tube ? i am going to buy a quality inflatable. Doing my research !
-
How much would it cost without the motor?

What's the oldest zodiac you have seen?

I have had all four types, inflatable tubes only, rigid bottom, wooden or alu floor boards and high pressure inflatable floor.
I much prefered the inflatable floor. Many many sail cruising years in Canada, the USA and the Carribean. PVC does not last 1/2 as long as hypalon. I also call all of them de-flatables. In time they leak air. Joints become unglued. -
Finally - Now I know what killed Jacques Cousteau...............

I believe that this video is the reason why Gilligan and the Skipper decided to stay on the island!!

Amazing raft but I am already exhausted at looking at this poor guy do the set up. For a few hundred bucks more, can you purchase someone to set it up for you : )
-
It looks like I am going to have to get one. I just now have to decide which one.

HI THIS THE HEARD WAY TO DO THIS BOAT, OK IF YOU LIKE THE WALK ROUND A ROUND, BUT ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PUT A LITTLE AIR IN, JUST TOO TAKE UP THE SIDES. THIS MAN WILL BE KNAKARD SOON, PS I DO HAVE A BOAT JUST LIKE THIS ,

The whole on the first wooden part doesn't align with the valve. Will it align on its own after finishing floor assembly and stretching it?

IBC TV presents the Zodiac MK2 Classic Assembly video featuring IBC Test Pilot Mike, the time tested Zodiac MK2 Classic, also featuring the soothing sounds of the 12volt inflation pump. For ease of assembly Mike recommends inflating the MK2 Classic without floor boards and leaving overnight to help "stretch" the boat (not done for this video). The MK2 Classic is probably the most recognized boat in the world and for good reason it's often the first boat seen by indigenous people from explorers ,scientists, missionaries, etc. .
