This all just seems really awkward

I feel like they'll start handing out pamphlets and ask for money

If everyone in the band enjoys what they do, that's cool but it seems like the singer is the only one into it. The guitarist especially looks like he wants to get out of there and be in a better band lol

Really really cool
-
Nope.

You know when someone thinks it's really cool that you know they can't sing? Yeah.

I didn't like this at first but when I came back to it again I liked it. An acquired taste

Annie Lennox and Ane Horse had a grown woman?

I love the way they adapted their sound to comply with the constraints of the tiny desk concert but it still comes off as a bit of a gimmick. I much prefer their regular work.

Why do i feel that the singer is too self-conscious? Is like she had learn how to move... She obviously have talent but is trying too hard.

I suppose since it's androgynous, hipster, and eccentric it must kick ass. Not really. The vocals aren't bad, nor the lyrics, but the music invokes feelings of electric eels dancing in all the toilets at work.

i think people dont like this kind of music because people dont recognize something's that's been missing from the mainstream for a long time. good song writing.

For some acts, stripping a sound down to essentials is easy: Strap on the acoustic guitar and maybe use a snare drum instead of a full kit. It was different for YACHT; it's not a simple guitar-bass-drums band. Watch the electro-pop group's striking performance at the NPR Music offices. Set List: "Dystopia (The Earth Is On Fire)" "Psychic City (Voodoo City)" "Shangri-La" For more videos and to subscribe to the Tiny Desk Concert podcast, visit npr.org/tinydeskconcerts
