That's a gk 29 I grew up sailing on one of them they are a fast boat didn't help much here tho :(

A shame really, she looks like one of the better looked after GKs. I have been on one but never had the pleasure sailing one, only under motor. As stated by a few, this GK clearly broke free from It's swing mooring, to help prevent this always replace you're strops every 6/12 months. Also having 3 instead of two helps, all that been said I have seen many break free with brand new strops. Make sure you up to par with you're insurance, thanks for sharing this.

There for the grace of God go I. Even stress tested moorings can cut loose in storms like this so don't be quick to judge. It's what you know after you know it all that really matters.
