Like your review, I bought this a few mths ago and find it perfect , knowing that when you come to toast your stick the cut is straight and the waste stays on the inside wheel ,not on the floor depending how you cut it . made to do its job and it does that perfect. Regards ken

Something I noticed that really sets this apart and will lead me to purchase it, is that the blades move in conjunction with one another. no other double blade cutters that I know of do that...

Xikar is over priced Chinese garbage for people who want to spend money on an already expensive hobby. I had a pipe lighter that from them that was garbage. It also rattled, and was the most finicky lighter I've ever used (even with nothing but Colibri fuel). If your going to buy Chinese garbage, at least don't spend an arm and a leg on it.

I've had mine for about a month now. Nice looking cutter, but lots of room for improvement. Few gripes I have (some are minor) are:
1. Too bulky. This is not a "carry around in my pocket" cutter. Looks nice on the table, more of a status symbol than functional.
2. The release button is fairly flush and takes some getting used to. Not really ideal to use with one hand operation to cut cigars.
3. The gears do feel gritty when using it, I was hoping eventually they would smooth out. That remains to be seen.
If they could make the next version thinner and smooth out that gritty feeling, I think they'd have a much better product.
I still prefer my Colibri V cutter both for price and functionality. I've been trying to use the XO exclusively since I got it, but every once in a while I still reach for the Colibri. -
Nice review. I like the honesty. I was literally about to buy this and decided to look up reviews first. Yours was the only one that mentioned the rattle. That rattle would drive me mad so thanks for pointing it out.

Too expensive! You could buy 3 cutters for that price lol give me a break

I was thinking of buying it , but now you got me second guessing lol what I want to know is with it being so bulky is it a pain to line up the cigar to cut ? Is it easy to cut more off then you want because of the bulkiness ?? Hope I'm making sense
