Here is my electric boat and a few ideas

Hay Luke, Love your boat. Could you give me the exact height and width of your boat. I would like to build mine the same as yours. Thank you.

one easy way to "steam" that type of plywood is to run it under hot water in the tub. soak it for a few minutes (depending on the amount of bend). I used the same ply from a big box store on a paintball tank project. bend 8" wide strips around a 22" diameter form. Don't soak too long or the reddish side of the ply will begin to curl off. Attached video shows a bend I did on the turret...I left it soak a little too long.

dry out battery compartment, and spray the interior with rubberized undercoating.. (used to waterproof bottom of vehicles).. it's what I use.

That's really cool, how high is the hull on that?
-
awesome video! this shows most of what people building a small boat will want to know! thank you!

What plywood did you use and how do you make the wood water tight and water resistant
-
Luke can you be a little more specific on the bending process for the lower inner strips? I am at a total lost on how to bend mine to get that shape. Also what size you used, on the plans, Elkin calls for 3/4 but you said something about 1 by 2?

what pound thrust motor do you use ?
I found a 37 lbs thrust minn kota
could you imagine an 80 lbs thrust -
got my plywood and the plans ...i have a few trolling motors so I am gonna build a box on the transom like a outboard boats motor well so I can still put my motors on my rowboat and canoe ... I can perma mount it later if I want

How long is the boat

Nice boat build. Is that 1/4" luan? I like how your video is a bit like Paul Elkins' - no fish and chips but some ice tea in the front compartment. I'm thinking of his coroplast boats but don't know if they'll hold my 220+ pounds. Good job!

Here is my wood boat that I built for around $100. It is based on Paul Elkins design in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIcGLjjOOb0 I named it Serenity for two reasons, because it is peaceful to get out on the lake and cruise around, and also I'm a sci-fi fan and I like the show Firefly. This boat will go into some shallow places that bigger boats can't go.
