eagle keeper, After hearing about the potential damage caused by E10, I thought there has to be an alternative. That alternative is your local airport. Aircraft piston engines cannot run in alcohol type fuels. The EPA isn't that dumb, some of them own and fly small to medium size multi engine aircraft. The station at the end of our subdivision had to replace their under ground tanks. Up until then, they sold non ethanol gas. good for those who cut their own grass etc. I ran out of the last of that fuel about a month ago. If you have an approved gas container, they will sell it to you. Since then, I have been trying to figure out what to do? The answer aviation LL100 fuel. The stuff cost me $5.35 a gallon. I bought 4.5 gallons. Two for the 4 stroke stuff and 2 for the 2 stroke stuff. I have around 5k invested in small engine lawn and garden equipment. Since I retired, I cant afford to replace any of it. Thanks a lot EPA. Your tax dollars at work.

Its funny to see many say they had no problems when in fact they have but why do they lie about it? people are just stupid lol ..that shit messes up small engines BAD! not only the carb but the pistons and anyone telling you otherwise is a GD liar ..Last guy that said that I said ok you claim you have not had no problems with the chainsaw he puts it in and I bet him a grand he was lying .he wouldnt take the bet and we found stabilizer in bed of his truck and asked him why using this if no problems? I said I will et you 2 Gs that the carb has been off that chainsaw and he wouldnt take the bet..why lie?

Lake Shore towing here is busier than usual and fuel is the problem...specifically, water in fuel, carbureator malfunctions, leaky fuel hoses and other ethanol fuel related issues.

Ethanol and other AgraFuels have been identified as a Crime Against Humanity in a report to the UN. By converting cropland from food production to fuel production, the cost of food is skyrocketing. There is now famine in parts of the world due to the resulting high cost of grains such as corn, driven higher from the added demand of the fuel industry. Agra fuels also result in increased atmospheric CO2 levels as more and more forests are leveled to make way for ethanol production.

Forget E-10 give me E-85 or higher and any engine with some tuning will out perform the exact same engine on gasoline ( Alcohol octane is around 105 regular unlead 87). It will burn cleaner last longer and run cooler. The cold start issue is a joke how many boaters go out in 50 degree weather anyway ? E-10 is a just enough for people to hate it mix.

because america doesn't make engines that prefer anything other than fossil fuels. the first cars ever made ran on ethanol and had no problems BECAUSE THEY WERE DESIGNED FOR IT. the problem isnt the fuel, its the engines. besides, anyone who cares about their outboard wouldn't let it set for long periods with any type of fuel in it.

Wow !!!! Ethanol really does suck !!!!!
FLOWOOD, MS (WLBT) - Boat motor repairs have inclined at RJ's outboard service at Duncan Marine in Flowood since ethanol blended fuel became widely used. Mechanics there blame E-10 fuel for a variety of recent performance problems with boat engines. View fill story here. http://www.wlbt.com/Global/story.asp?S=14309471 RJ's Manager Rob Koskovich says, "When the ethanol blended fuel sits in the fuel tanks for any period of time it actually turns to water. It actually separates, you got a layer of water on the bottom, alcohol in the middle and what's left over of gas on top, it just shoots straight water into the engine." Experts say the older ethanol gas, the lower the engine performance, and if the ethanol is allowed to sit for long periods in an engine, the physical damage can be costly. Lawnmower repair specialist Darren Burk says ethanol blends can shorten the life of all gas operated lawn equipment. Burk says, "The carburetor, the fuel itself is breaking down forming like a gel substance, pretty much what it does it clogs up all your main arteries." Experts we talked to say avoid ethanol gas blends if possible. A handful of gas stations in the metro like the Pelahatchie Bay trading post are now specializing in ethanol free gas. Water separation devices and fuel stabilizers are also available, like this Startron enzyme fuel treatment. Simple steps that could extend the life of your mower or boat, and make them run better too.
