you can add antifreeze but it is not mandatory as the waverunner engines that your boat has are self draining and don't hold enough water to necessitate the antifreeze.

Great video Will -- just what I was looking for to perform my winterization this week! I'm a Newbie Boat owner -- AR190 -- I saw some posts on another forum that highly recommended using RV antifreeze on the bilge pump until it ran pink...thoughts please?

I believe there are some additional lubrication points on a supercharged engine. email me at will@jetboatpilot.com and I will reply with a tech bulletin which will give you some instruction as to the steps you need to take to fog your motor.
-
After fogging what has to be down for the boat to be lake ready. Or fire up when ready?
-
we grease the zerk every year or so. you can lubricate from inside the engine compartment.
-
How often should u remove your rear bucket and jetpump assembly and check the pump for proper grease and all your seals from any damage or corrosion?
-
possibly one more step since you have the supercharger. not sure but check your owners manual about the fogging procedure for the supercharged engine.
-
Would this be all I need to do for a sx192 in the Dallas, Texas area?
-
no, the engines on your boat are the same as the engines in the video.

Great video series. I have a 242 Limited HO and looking to winterize and live in Canada. Is there anything different needed due to the High Output engine? With thanks
-
@minnross1 we'll be there! thanks!
-
yes you spray into each intake approx 5 seconds each repeating for up to a total of a minute. I've never sprayed into spark plug hole. water is running at full blast and motor is at roughly 2000 rpm.
-
When you run on the hose, do you run the water at full pressure?
Also, how do you recommend doing the fogging for the MR-1 HO engines? Each cylinder has its own intake/carb, so I assume you spray each one individually? I've seen a guy that sprays fogging oil directly into the cylinders through the spark plug holes. Is that recommended? -
ahhh need to winterize live in PA I have a bass tracker inboard jet for 5 years run stabil through it your good to go buddy has same boat does the fogging and shit nothing but problems two years in a row come spring time shit what do I know lol
-
we fog ours when we winterize. this prevents corrosion in the valve train. I would fog or run the engines at least once a month if you don't.

I have 2011 Yamaha AR240 HO. First year with it. Brought to the dealer to winterize. Yamaha dealer mechanic won't fog the engines said it may interfere with injectors. Confused, should I or not fog the engines? thanks
If yes why would the dealer advise against it? -
Dumb question.. but you repeat the procedure on both engines, right?
-
Thank you .

I have a Yamaha VX 110. Soon i will do my first winterize. If i do the same procedure as yours in the video, will my ski be enough fogged or should i better do the classic method by put fogging oil right into cylinders, use a scrap and make pistons do few turns ?

So I'm thinking that by restarting the engine after fogging, in order to evacuate remaining water, will burn off the fogging oil you just introduced. Some say to fog by removing plugs, squirt in fogging oil and then spin the motor of a few times without starting it. You can do that after you have evacuated any water and/or put in antifreeze, opinions?

This video was produced to illustrate the proper way to winterize your naturally aspirated Yamaha Jet Boat. Supercharged Yamaha Jet Boats require additional engine fogging steps that are not covered in this video. Naturally Aspirated Winterization Steps 1: Add Fuel Stabilizer into system and circulate through engine by running for approx 5 minutes. 2: Top off fuel tank with fuel to prevent moisture condensation in fuel tank. 3. Fog your engines with Yama-Lube Stor Rite Engine Fogging Oil. 4. Blow out any excess water remaining in engine or exhaust system. We hope this video was helpful to you. Thank you for watching and have a great day!
