The second thing, in true Whittley fashion, is the functionality. The lay out boasts huge storage, great head room, deep cockpit, large cabin and a very impressive transom giving an almost marlin board appearance behind the motor. The battery compartment is high and dry and so easy to get to. No aching back in checking battery's here and it is positioned in such a way that it has plenty of ambient light when open. The kill well liner is completely removable and the same compartment gives easy access to bilge and pick ups. There is plenty of room to walk around the sides, going forward, with hand rails built into the hard top. There is a small hard top rack to support rods, small inflatable's or ski tubes and the hard top itself is long enough to begin covering the back to back seats (a small awning would finish this nicely). The hull is a deep 23 degrees with a long stem at entry, making it a very smooth ride. The serious fisherman who also has an enthusiastic, albeit occasionally salt encrusted family, need look no further than here. The Whittley 24 Sea Legend will see you catching tuna on Saturday and towing ski tubes with a full crew on Sunday. It is the epitome of an iconic all rounder which Whittley should be deservedly proud of.
