this helped alot I used to have Kawasaki ninja and I'm thinking about getting a 02 shadow

it all depends on age and maturity. when young I had yamaha's, ajs, bultaco, huskys, then got out of motorcross. went to the kawasaki triple 500, and did not kill myself. then the 750 gpz, a very fast bike in the day. 400 honda four. then several years later the 03 1200 custom harley, vibration was bad. had to sell it to try and keep trucking business going. them at age or 63, stopped at the harly dealer to browse, found a susuki m50 and fell in love again. took my wife and she saw the 09 vn 900 lt and said it was very nice. my christmas present for 16, 12000 miles for 3000 dollars. researched the former and not the vulcam but after the ones i have knew was a good bike. best bike i have ever had. your videos are very good and informative as you do not disgrace any one just your point of view, very rare today. if you could do some videos on mounting the other things from other makes on your would be helpful. keep up the good work you are doing.

I'm entering my third year of riding. I ride a Honda Shadow 750. It's my first bike and it's perfect for my small size and the type of riding I want to do. I believe I'll have this bike for several more years because it's perfect for me. I got lucky in choosing my first bike. I'm going to take it in a 2000 mile road trip this summer. if I see you on the road on two or even three wheels then I know you're out having a good time and I'm happy for you. i'll give a peace sign or wave or even a Leather Tuscadero though slap and point. respect the other vehicles on the road. it's that simple.

I lane split on my cruiser...
-
I can and do agree with what your saying about both types of bikes , personally I ride a cruiser the only thing I would like to input is on the idea of wearing gear , I wear what is comfortable and will keep my skin on me not the road however when I watch some of the video's of these smart ass motto/sport bike riders who think lane splitting doing wheelies brake stands and riding in crowds / packs while wearing shorts t-shirts and runners and generally acting like a bunch of assholes well all I can say is if they wipe out tfb I know many sport riders are mature an responsible these other idiots give riders a worse name than the "outlaw bikers"

Which bike gets the girls lol
-
First year on a bike, I rider cruiser, it fits my laid back style and I enjoy road trips. I have a number of mentors who ride Harley, Ducatii, Triumph, ect. I am grateful for all there wisdom and support. For me the discussion which is better is like comparing Music. Thanks for the video Brother, be safe ride free!

ps. cruiser riders who shout get a real men's bike at me or calling my bike a girl's bike, my bike may have only 600cc, but it's twice as faster than yours so keep your opinion to yourself please.

I'm a sport bike rider keep that in mind. now why the hate, cruiser bikers get more girls. lol. let's be honest, women do not care how fast the bike is, how exciting the bike is, or how big of an engine it has. we guys talk about it and they smile and laugh with us but in truth they just pretends to care. if the both riders are as charming and good looking, girls pick cruiser because it's comfortable and feels safer. well my sport bike can do 0 to 60 in less than 4 sec. the cruiser can't will take forever to hit 100 while my bike can do that in a flash. what women hears, dangerous dangerous dangerous and more dangerous. comfortable and less dangerous vs uncomfortable and dangerous. you do the math guys. If you love riding and excitement get a sport bike. you want to pick up chicks get cruiser. and stop enving and hating two wheeled brothers on cruisers. there are very little of us to start with.

or do what i did, i spent most of my money on my cruiser which i love more than anything ( apart from my wife ), then i bought a well looked after low mileage 7 year old supersport, then you have the benefit of both.

You can get 300mi on one tank on that Vulcan? My Vtx1300 only gets about 185 w/reserve. That's odd considering I have the bigger displacement.

When I watch American vlogs about cruisers and they are contrasted to sports bikes, I always wonder why not compare with the big European & Japanese tourers instead? Whether its the traditional ones like the Honda Pan European & BMW GTLs or the more ADV styled stuff like the Triumph Tiger & Ducati Multistrada.
I don't own any of those bikes but to me they are the natural halfway house between a cruiser with forward controls and a motor that is giving you everything at 3000rpm & a full blown sport bike with rear sets and all the drama above 9000rpm -
Can you do a vlog in defense of buying a scooter and the hate on it from motorcycle folks, esp young buyers who ride scooters

halfway through your video. I've got a yamaha vstar 1100, I always wear my gear! Full face helmet and all, too risky not to.
-
so i have a sportbike (kawasaki z1000) im ready to upgrade but im caught between worlds... part of me likes the feeling of acceleration and the other side of me wants to go on 6-9 hour rides... so i torn between two bikes... the kawasaki zx 14r and the victory Highball... any thoughts...

where is this pretty place XD??

I like both. Hell I even like trikes. But if I were forced to choose, I'd take a cruiser. In my 20's I wanted to go fast. Now that I'm in my 30's, I'm more interested in enjoying the ride.
Cruisers vs Sportbikes, the eternal debate! Personally, I'm a fan of both. However, the discussion of Sportbikes vs Cruisers is an eternal one, so I thought I'd throw my opinions out there! By the way; one point of clarification. In the video, I mistakenly sounded like I felt that riders (including cruiser riders) who wear less or no gear are somehow inferior. Personally, I don't feel that way. It was meant to target an audience of gear-wearing cruiser riders who feel that ALL cruisers are inferior because SOME cruiser riders don't wear gear. While I didn't take the time to mention it, I also strongly dislike that argument. What people choose to wear to protect themselves is their business. I choose gear and a full face helmet, combined with well-practiced defensive riding. Other choose differently, and that's their right. I simply intended, in the video, to point out that gear is a poor argument when referring to the validity of a particular style of motorcycle. I also recognize I didn't talk about other types of bike, like sport-touring, standard, standard-touring (like a Honda Goldwing), dirt, enduro, dual-sport, etc. However the cruiser vs sportbike discussion is a much more popular one! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. God Bless!
