Cultural appropriation lmao

I know a guy who used to be a commander in our brown water navy. Showed me his machete, told me about the old Junk's they'd use on occasion. Crazy stuff
-
Some units used to string little candies like jujubes on strings around the boat like on a Christmas tree. When they landed at villages on their regular patrols, the children used to run out and pick jujubes off the strings. If the children didn't come out, they then knew the parents were hiding them because the VC were in the area.

It's" MAyKong", not Meekong

"from now on seek and destroy will be changed to sweep and clear"...... the big 30 pound bz rpg rocket was the bane of pbr life in the river.....it would sink anything and kill many

Love the Vietnam era videos. Also, Redux is definitely the ultimate version of the movie. I know some people didn't like the French plantation scene, but I thought it was absolutely essential in establishing a more grounded plot, and added an extra dimension of historical context to the film that otherwise did not exist.

hey Great video. Just F.Y.I at 4:23 there is a mistake in the conversion of Knots to Kilometers.

Moment of truth: If you had to choose, would you be a communist or a fascist/national socialist (nazi)

I'm pretty sure the boat couldn't slow down AND turn around in one length of itself. At least from full speed. It took at least 2, usually 3 lengths according to my uncle who was commander/driver of one in Vietnam and another documentary I watched. And I thought the trial speed, or at least requirement for design submission was 30 knots, yet the boat did 33 knots, impressing the Navy...? He did tell me cleaning the jets used to suck ass and he always made the other guys do (of course)
-
thanks for taking a deep look at the boat we all loved from Apocalypse Now - love the ENTIRE concept and execution of this channel. Please keep up the great work and don't be "scared" to go back to older war machines etc.

28 etch a sketch battalions.
Not sure what propolution is but you should also mention the most important part of one or two men firing a single bullet at a boat, and causing boatcrews to fire back blindly in panic and slaughter whole villages of peasants to fuel the communist propaganda machine with a singe bullet. -
Error at 4:23 - it states that 25.7 knots is 47.6km/h but the next line states that 20 knots is 47km/h. This is not proportional, and is probably closer to 40km/h.
-
How is 25.7 knots 47.6km/h, and 20 knots 47 km/h?
