Why do people complain about the weather? It's part of the adventure of cruising. My last cruise was on Princess out of Seattle to Alaska. Our first night was a rocking good time. Well before the ship launched we slapped a patch behind our ears and located the sturdiest room in the ship--The Cigar Lounge--where the friendly red-vested staff served alcoholic beverages until the ship was rocking a bit too much even for their sure-footed service. They sent us crawling to our rooms with a complimentary bottle of Merlot each. The next morning it was reported that the waves were incredibly rough all night. We enjoyed the best sleep ever! It was great.

Funny thing is, most of these people would be the first to complain had the captain or the Cruiseline had cancelled this trip. All of them would be complaining that it was unfair and that they weren't worried about the weather.

Yesterday, here in australia- the Norgwegian star was towed back to port when in propulsion gear failed.Passengers were stranded for 2 days off the coast the mainland. The company has apologised for the inconvenience and given all guests a full refund and 50 per cent future cruise credit.

2:05 > "Why the cruise the left the port if a storm was in the forecast?"
They've thought the passengers would enjoy the radical adventure?? -
whose the news anchor in the news room??
-
If something like that happened on Carnival, they would give a full refund AND a their next cruise FREE with them as reimbursement.
-
Titanic?? That's why ABC sucks. Check your facts
-
If the ship had not left the port, the same passengers would complain, blame the captain and sue the company cause Royal ruined their vacation and didn't go to the destinations they paid for...
-
I think a more accurate description of the events would not be a comparison to the Titanic but "straight out of 'The Poseidon Adventure'" lmao
-
Just before this video I saw a Royal Caribbean commercial!!
-
The ship was caught at the Hermine tropical storm.

On the few cruises I've been on, I've always thought the ships seemed "top heavy." I don't know much about the science of ship building, but I don't think those babies were built to withstand that kind of weather. I wouldn't want to be on one of them under those conditions! And could you imagine having to abandon ship during a storm like that? Good luck! Fortunately, I've never experienced anything like this and truthfully, and hopefully, l never will. But hey... that's just me!

Don't cruise during winter months....

One editor told his wife he loved her, which is crazy because she's a bitch.

This is why I hate going on sea's 😖😖😖😖
-
People have unrealistic expectations. They paid for cruise tickets, not some fucking weather control miracle. The ship can easily handle a storm like that.
-
That's exactly one year after I went on the exact same one!!!
-
Man the anchor chick has sexy eyes.
-
Why the fuck would you want to be out at sea cooped up with 6000 other people? Storm or no storm.
-
Damned if you go and damned if you stay in port.People should expect to stay in port and have a change in itinerary. If there is a storm brewing it should be standard practice to stay in port.

Passengers' cellphone videos show furniture flying as the cruise ship was caught in hurricane-force winds.
