stop waving.

I understood that the two fingers down meant " Keep both tires down and have a good day". Or, three fingers meant "Keep three tires down and have a good day". 2/3 fingers down means keep your bike upright and be careful not to have an accident.

I was on the side of the road broke down in the middle of nowhere I see a motorcycle coming think good help has arrived Harley Rider drives right by f*** you guys

"sportbikers are all layin down, ALL THE WEIGHT ON THEIR HANDS. . ."
false -
harley riders, ape hanger rider, etc. don't wave.

Nice video and good perspective. I'm in Massachusetts and I ride a 82 nighthawk 750 sc, I get a lot if waves and general respect from Sportbikers and guys with Honda, Yamaha Kawasaki etc cruisers, its always the Harley guys who wont wave. I let them do as they wish it just seems to further the divide between the Harley vs us mentality. For that reason I wish they'd show a little more respect out there....., I was shocked when I got the bike I figured id fit in more with cruiser guys but its actually always the sport guys in the parking lot talking bikes with me. I can appreciate every bike even 250s dont matter to me we all are on two wheels, I get the feel the Harley guys have the "get a real bike" attitude. Ill catch that from guys in pickups with Harley stickers at stop lights constantly. 34 years old 47k miles id say its a pretty decently built bike!! Reminds me if mg experience snowboarding and cathing looks from the skiiers, not knowing I ski myself....stat safe all nice video....

To see a Harely guy wave on Long Island is like seeing a unicorn. I am on a sports bike and wave to everyone even a Harley and a scooter. I think if your on 2 wheels you get the recognition. wave to them all

In europe, lots do "the left foot" Or "chin up".
-
my windshield is also quick release. It only takes like four allen keys. Releases in under 10 minutes lol

I wave at every biker. If I ever see you, count on it.

last summer I was riding and a scooter came past me doing at least 55 mph. so I waved , he's on two wheel's he get's a wave from me, so I'm with a buddy and where on Harleys and my buddy say f---k him why do you wave to shit heads on scooters , any way we going to see another friend at his house he was renting, and ten min's latter that same guy on the scooter pulled in the drive way got of his scoot and gave me a hand shake with a half hug, I'm thinking to my self , what the hell is he doing here , well it turn's out the guy on the scooter was my buddy land lord and cam by for the rent money, small world ha, I live on long island not some small hick town , so what are the chances scooter man was going to pull in the drive way and end up being my other buddy's land lord. so what I'm saying is I told my friend I was riding with if you told scooter boy to go f----k him self like you wanted to , our other buddy would have had problems with his new land lord, what's the odd's of that . so wave or don't wave you don't have to be an ass about what other's are riding.

I've been riding all sorts of bikes for years. I'm now on a cruiser.
To tell you the truth, I'm sick of waving, nodding, saluting, wiggling my leg etc, as though we're all part of some big brotherhood. Imagine what it would be like if all car drivers did it - your arm/head/hand would't stop moving.
Nowadays when I'm out, I just want to enjoy the ride - just me, my thoughts, the weather and the open road.
So bollox to the lot of you, from now on you'll all be ignored. :) -
I waved at everyone includes bicycle riders too,
I have sport bike/speed bike . you wave back or not does not matter to me -
it's simple I wave to anyone on two wheels, if you don't wave back then you can get fucked, hey just nod your head but common respect is what we bike riders live by.

Good video. It seems usual in the UK for us to exchange nods rather than waves - possibly because one does not have to take a hand from the controls? In any case it is nice feeling to show respect for other riders whatever they are riding. If somebody does not acknowledge me back then I just assume they were too slow or had their mind on the traffic.

Great vid, funny as all get out. Thanks for the chuckles.

copperguy a member of http://community.cruisercustomizing.com/ created and composed this TOTW video for our May Video Contest. In this tip Don demonstrates and explains the Motorcycle Wave from the Harley Davidson, Goldwing, Sportbike, and Metric Cruiser points of view. To wave or not to wave ... that is the question. Now you know how! Great work Phil!
