Wow! I was considering getting the Cuttlebug, but buying plates makes the purchase just as expensive as the other die cutters, if not more.

Thank you for this wonderful video. You explain everything so well and at my age 83 I need all the help I can get. I love making cards and I just love my little cuttlebug, I have a big shot, but I prefer my cuttlebug, so much easier to handle and use. Have a blessed day. Ernestine

I just bought a cuttlebug today. I seen this video before I come back to watch it again. I'm glad I bought this machine reason why is because it small and easy to store away when not using. Plus I wanted to emboss some of my cardstock for some of my layouts. I plan on buying some of the Tim Holtz dies in the future.

Very informative.

Quick question- I was able to get a die cut using the Fiskars Fuse dies but I can't figure out how to letter press them. Can you help me with that? -
Great video. You referred to one of your videos about making your own folders. I went to your blog but can't find it. Please tell me where I can find it.
Thank you. -
Thank you Margaret for this fabulous video! I hope that you continue to make these wonderful videos. Whenever I have a question on these, I try to find your videos! I am going to see if you did one on the magnetic plates. I hope that there is one, if not could you check into that and make video? Bless you, MY LITTLE CUTTLEBUG ANGEL. LISA

Thank you,and you are so wlecome. Almost all dies will work with this machine you just need to practice what plates will work. I have used all the Sizzix dies except the pro dies(usually have to buy online), they are too wide, but the bigz and the XL will work. I use alot of the Tim Holtz dies.

just here thanking you for the informative video. I came into possession of a cuttlebug just yesterday and had no idea how to use it. Yours is the second video I've seen. The first video mentioned the dies-- which didn't come with the cuttlebug I got. But now I know that if I got another die by another brand, I'd still be ok. thanks again :)

I only have the Cuttlebug but this is what I know. They both can use the same dies, They both have the extended plates. You can cut the same material in them. The Cuttlebug folds up for easier storage. I have heard some have trouble with Cuttlebug due to the grippers slipping while cutting but I have not had that trouble because I have glass on my table.. I hope that this is helpful.

I use all dies in mine, you may have to use a shim on some of the dies.
