unbelievable just to put it on show they cut it up dick heads
-
What else would you expect from scouse morons ?
-
What a shambles, only four U boats left in the world and they cut it up and pat themselves on the back for doing it. I was lucky enough to have a personal tour of this vessel while it was still in one piece and it was brilliant, but now cut up and looking nothing like a U boat it makes me so sad. surely some one or some organisation could have put this vessel in a more apt home and kept what was a beautiful boat in one piece. So very very sad.
-
cutting it up are you somekind of sadist
-
What pack of fools would section one of only four complete u boat's in the world...Good God???
Totally agree with CJ Campbell's comments. -
The person who decided to cut this Uboat up should be hanged!
-
Absolutely DISGRACEFUL AND DISGUSTING. If it was brought up in pieces great idea. But to bring it up whole then dissect !!!! Unbelievable. This visitors centre should be boycotted in respect of our fallen heroes of WWll. And the investors go bankrupt, I watched this up to seeing the wire saw going thru her and thought this is like saying up yours Germany. I will not be visiting this centre. Total piss take.

To chop this piece of history up into a tourist display is a crime. It is like what ISIS is doing to historical structures. If they had restored it with rust removal and new paint that would have been great. But this... is twisted.
-
Why cut an historic artifact
-
If I disassemble your mother to molecules, it will do no harm to her, because she made from molecules, no? It is a shame what they do with that unique piece of history. Unforgivable!
-
I have some questions: Who gave permission to bring it up, supposedly the Danish and Germans? Who paid for all the work? I suspect the people who have it now.
-
Unbelievable act of vandalism, why didn't you go the full hog and paint it pink with orange spots! Might as well chuck it back in the sea, well done guys, now only 3 left!
-
Lego or Dublo?...no thanks - not for me...
-
If they would have just left the keys in it, some scouser would have nicked it and given it good home
-
Let's cut the Mona Lisa up into five pieces so more people can see it at on display in various museums!
-
Better to have it cut in sections and put on display than to be "recycled" for scrap the way both of the boats that I served on were. Not a single one of the U.S. "41 for freedom" SSBNs were converted to museum ships, nor any of the nuclear powered fast attack boats with the sole exception of USS Nautilus SSN-571.

Money driven wankers!
-
Must go there, the next time I am staying in Warrington.

Fully intact she sure was beautiful and really cool to look at.

Mills Media was commissioned by Merseytravel to produce an in-depth documentary about U-534's epic journey - from its sinking in 1945 to its newly found status as the latest Mersey Ferries attraction. With record visitors in its opening months, the U-Boat Story at Woodside has truly captured the imagination of the public. Unprecedented access allowed the Mills Media crew to capture the refurbishment, cutting, transport and delivery of U-534 over an eighteen month period. The programme also includes archive war images, salvage footage from the depths of the ocean and candid interviews with key players in the project's success.
