I'm curious if Intrepid and seven marine have done a 43 sport yacht with triple 627 H.P. motors and if they have any numbers or data on it?
-
Never ceases to amaze me how those that can't afford will be the negative bunch. I can't afford but would run my imaginary triple 557's on my imaginary 42 Hydra-Sports Siesta and never stop smiling.

What cools these engines? I hope it's not sea water directly.
-
aren't these the same weight as the V-8 outboards?
-
with 205,000 dollars that engines cost.....could buy 18m luxury boat
-
Not bad considering you just spent approx $205.000.00 on the engines alone ??
-
caught any fish off it yet?
-
If you want to set a new world record, drop them on a 420 nortech, it'll do close to 100mph i'm sure
-
I saw 81.7 mph
-
For 185,000 for the set and monitor it should do at least 80
-
Useless... Ill catch more fish on my jon boat

Love the 557's, awesome, but then that's it. Pure novelty item for the big-boys toys market. Too heavy, too much fuel, too much fuel storage for a real tournament boat, and too much money ! Quad verado's on this 42' and you can run less fuel storage, less motor weight, and have close to the same top end speed for a third less cost. But I won't fool ya... if I had the $$$ I'd try 'em out for sure !

This sport fishing boat thing and the Super Center console boat thing has gotten too crazy and too expensive! I remembered when the average tournament boats were 23 ft. and single engine or twin 150's,a 30ft. Scarab was considered big and extravagant, today a 30 footer would be considered too small! Wow! 30 yrs later and $400,000 for a tournament fishing boat! Only in America!

Who cares about the 450 and the cost of gas, your not sitting at the kiddy's table with this one. Your at the big boys table!!! Just think you could add a TSV supercharger since that do make one for this LS engine, now that would be expensive and drink gas like a cold beer on a hot day!!!
-
Wow! Outboard tech has raised a new bar! The boat is equally impressive.
-
If you can afford 450 grand for the boat. . . . .
-
Great technology, It just needs some cosmetic help from Cadillac or Mercury Marine. Every test I have seen seems like water is splashed into the boat from between the mid section and transom. Maybe some re hydrodynamic design. I do like this engine , going to wait a couple of years before I buy mine
-
well adam, mine is doing more than 80 mph, with 2X300 noble verado pros, yesterday i did a sea trial , 2 persons, 150 ltrs of gas and 100 ltrs of water, etc... c what i did in the small gulf of Lavrio Greece.try "technohul 999 fully loaded" in the search of youtube.....u design a great rib, well done
