Thank you for this excellent video and the professional way in which you presented it. We have made this trip many times and understand your concern for the winds..our boat 54' not a trawler so perhaps it was not as difficult....Thank You ..

my aunt and uncle used krusty's for pancakes, but dry bisquick pancake mix with a very little bit of old bay, garlic, onion, pepper etc. . fresh water bass and crappie lightly dredged in such, fried in crisco, served. noneed for any "sauce", flavor is very mild, even so for those whom don't like fish. great.

That cornmeal mix has the seasoning in it. If we use a regular cornmeal out of the bag, it is yellow cornmeal (or buttermilk cornmeal mix (has some flour in it), and season it to taste (I mix it in the cornmeal rather than put the seasoning on the fish) with Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning (in the seasonings isle at most groceries, certainly a Wal-Mart). I roll the fish in egg batter, then the dry cornmeal mix and fry. The okra we drain, then simply roll in the cornmeal and fry.

I use to fly over that lake during flight training, the sugar factories always made it smell bad.. Enjoy your trip
