Great video, will keep it in mind when I go to change my hj61s filter, I don't believe the 12ht has a sediment sender but I could be wrong.
-
Anybody else see the face on the fuel filter at 1:45???
-
Guys, do you know about similar tutorials for Land Cruiser 120?
-
next time put fresh diesel in the filter before fitting it !

Have just brought an 80's series diesel & having the same probs. Has brand new fuel filter, have primed consistently over a week, no fuel leaks or air but running like shxx. Gets to 30km's hr then chokes and stalls. Started blowing smoke & has a burning smell. Any ideas ?
-
well at least you can get to it. on the 1FZ they put it in the worst possible place imaginable for something that is serviceable. I can't see it hardly at all making it very very difficult to take it off. I would kill to have a fuel filter design like yours. granted I would kill for your engine too.

Fuel filter should really be changed every 10,000 KM or 6,000 Miles. Probably sounds a little conservative but they only cost $30 or so and take half an hour to change. Standard practice for us Aussies is Oil and Oil filter change every 5,000 KM and Fuel and Air filter change every 10,000.

Perfect!
-
It still has air in it - just prime the system more and you will be ok - and check for fuel leaks too.
-
Yes, just like the old BJ4X models, thanks for watching!
-
Another great video. On the 2H, which is the predecessor of the 1HZ, the fuel filter and sedimentor are seperate units.
-
