On May 15, 2014 during a storm on Megkhn's river in the central part of Bangladesh the Miraj-4 ferry sank. Onboard there were about 200 people, escaped 75. On June 18, 2014 the vessel with passengers sank in the Strait of Malacca, in the area Port Klang (Malaysia). From 70 people onboard were lost 10, 25 were missing. On July 15, 2014 near the coast of piece Dzhokhor (Malaysia) at crash of the overloaded boat with illegal migrants from Indonesia about 20 people were lost. On August 4, 2014 on the river Padma in the Bangladesh district Munshigandzh the passenger Pinak 6 ferry was wrecked. Onboard the vessel there were about 200 people, about 100 are rescued. On August 8, 2014 at the coast of the Southern Sumatra (Indonesia) the Andeswara cargoship sank. From 37 members of team it was succeeded to rescue 24, 13 people were missing. On August 22, 2014 at coast of Libya to the East from Tripoli the fishing boat transporting about 170 refugees crashed. 17 passengers managed to escape only. On September 10, 2014 in the Mediterranean Sea at coast of Malta the vessel transporting from Egypt to Italy about 500 illegal migrants (including 100 children) from Syria, Palestine, Sudan and Egypt sank. Only 10 people who reported escaped that the vessel was rammed by boats of smugglers. On September 15, 2014 at coast of Tadjoura (Libya) the vessel onboard which there were about 250 illegal migrants sank. The Libyan military managed to rescue only 36 people. Onboard there were about 200 passengers and crew members, from them about 50 were lost. On March 24 in the Strait of Malacca the Indonesian Kumala Endah bulk carrier ran into unspecified underwater object and soon sank. The team of the vessel totaled 14 people, five of them were rescued, two were lost, seven are reported missing.
