I have the CBR650F and my stepson has the CB500F and they are grat bikes. Your review is outstanding

1st place looks bland not as nice as mt07
-
I plan on keeping my ER6F for ever, so damn reliable!
-
Totally agree with the SV650 as number one. Especially now that Yamaha and Kawasaki have priced their bikes over £6,000! It looks the best and rides the best. Ok it might not be as wheelie happy as the MT, which most journalists like but it's a better all rounder and sounds loads better. It's also the better bike for anyone over 5'5" as the MT feels pretty cramped. I've been considering getting one as a daily bike this year and keeping my Gixer for track days and Sunday blasts.
-
The new sv650 is even more relevant now in this under £6k category - the er6 replacement z650 and the now abs only for 2017 mt-07 are both priced at £6099 so don't make the under 6k category anymore

Duke 390....

What about Benelli BN 600 GTs. It seem good quality and sharply priced.

syosung 600

OOps, sorry, too much blood in the alcohol system, the hyo has a copy of the V twin Suzi sv, I was seriously considering a Cfmoto 650 TK (Thats the kwaka copy) but the models in Australia don't seem so be getting the same updates the Chinese domestic market are receiving.
-
I ride a 2010 Hyosung GT 650 R and apart from a few electrical gremlins it's a little ripper. Powered by a Korean copy of the Kwaka ER 650 engine in a super sport frame, great for canyon carving, crap for long distance and CHEAP !!!
-
funnily enough I've just ordered a SV650 in red after a test ride. It's awesome!
-
I guess the vstrom was not concider as a contender 😕
-
Great review! Can you elaborate on the "practicality" of the Suzuki sv650 over the FZ-07?
-
good ranking I agree with it mate

About that WK 650 tr (also known as CF Moto 650tr)... Did you actually see it in person and give it a try? On paper it is fine, and the 2016 version actually looks really nice on the Chinese videos. Other than Australian riders saying it's great {for its price}, I haven't heard anyone making a real review. I've seen it on eBay at £3500 and now £2800 (new, OTR), meaning that the dealer is making a big effort do shift them. If I had to choose between 5K on a Honda or on a WK650, I know what I'd pick; but when the new price is equivalent to 8-10 year old Jap bike... anyone with a neutral and realistic review out there?
-
NAAA DON'T DO THAT.......... RATHER HAVE A FAST 600CC SCOOTER AS A COMMUTER. WITH SOME GOOD SPACE FOR STORAGE, AND SOME CHANGE LEFT
-
the new sv650 still has the spongy suspension but a little better than the fz07, and an even worse seat, besides that we'll done suzuki.
-
suzuki gsr600??
-
disagree with no.1, the mt o7 and er6n are better bikes in every aspect
-
in which ways is the new sv 650 more practical than mt-07?(pillion seat excluded).
Also mt-07 looks better and sounds better than sv-650.
Who the hell under the age of 30 would buy an SV? this thing looks horrible even when compaired to gladius, that in fact doesnt look as ugly as many people say..
