do not use wax paper some wax remains and gums up the die. Sizzix is selling a brush and pad that works like a charm to clean dies.

Thank you for your tips for intricate dies. I got a delicate one and only part of the paper would cut. After reading all the comments, I tried some tips and it worked like a charm. I have a Cuttlebug. I almost gave up on it doing the job.

Love your video but now I use the dryer sheets. You are absolutely correct about forcing things, that is how I broke my scuttle bug. I actually cracked the top of it.

I have so much trouble with Spellbinders dies no matter what I do, so I am not purchasing them anymore. Even some trouble with Sizzix intricate dies, but not as much. My husband, a chemist, has recommended using a silicone spray on the cutting surface of the dies, allowing it to dry, and then cutting. That's my next experiment!

jhave a parridge in a pear tree that will only part cut any help please brand new

you don't need waxed paper anymore, use 4 sheets of 'un-scented' dryer sheets instead of the waxed paper, fold them in half..platform, cutting pad, dryer sheets, die ( with cardstock still in it and the die face down so the cardstock is next to the dryer sheets), 2nd cutting pad, run through big shot...there won't be any 'Poking' needed., pull off 'Die, and very carefully, pull off design, all the pieces stay on the dryer sheets.....

TY for the waxed paper tip, first time I ever heard that even tho I have watched numerous tutorials!
-
I only saw one cutting pad and it was on top. You don't use a second cutting pad underneath the die?? I'm confused.
Day 10 with my big shot -

Thank you so much for sharing your technique. I was so excited I had to stop the video and try your suggestions for myself. I have that same die cut and could never get it to cut out completely. I just cut out four tree's!!!!!! And they came out beautiful! Now I can share them for Christmas! Thank you!!!!!!! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the great suggestions. Do you use only one plate B? Beverly

Is the wax paper the same as Greaseproof paper?

I just tried a piece of metal flashing that I bought at the hardware store on a roll. I cut off a piece and tried it with the Memory Box Arboscello Tree which is extremely intricate and everything popped out with no prob and I just saved myself $11.99 plus tax and shipping for the Memory Box Metal Adapter plate for intricate dies.!! If you decide to try this, I suggest edging the two rough sides with Washi Tape to keep from cutting yourself.

NOW, I am going to have to order this tree! Love it...victoria C.
