These are terrible tips for cutting acrylic. Much better info in the comments below. Truly annoying to see people post "Tips" videos when they know nothing about the topic.

Table saw with a fine blade (lots of teeth.)

Dear friend; To add to your cutting technique is to spray both sides of the cut line with cook non-stick spray (spam). I found out it reduces the heat and the buildup of plastic at the cut site. Slow and low rpm also aides in the finish cut appearance............ Hope this help-----------Joel

Tips for cutting thick 0.200 acrylic or plastic sheet.
I hate spending money, but I think to keep the cut straight I need to buy a special blade for my table saw. Amazon has a blade designed for cutting plastic for about $18, that might work - Concord Blade ACB 1000T, 100 teeth. I am too cheap to purchase a Freud blade for over $50. I am not certain how to use a router with acrylic but I believe special bits are required to make it work. Also, I don't want to use my good router bits on plastic. Thanks all for the ideas.
