Thanks for posting this, it was pretty helpful in creating a custom cookie cutter. You pointed out the slight uneven border width that can occur when you shrink the shape down a bit - for me this was a much bigger issue since there were lots of curves and such that caused the smaller version to completely cut off edges.
Incase anyone was wondering how I solved this problem, you can accomplish it by preprocessing the image in some software (such as Photoshop/Pixelmator) to contract the shape or selection inwards, filling it with paint bucket, and saving that as a second shape you import into TinkerCAD. -

i stumbled across your video while researching 3d printing cookie cutters and wanted to say THANK YOU ... this was very helpful! i make custom cookies for friends and am thinking about investing in a 3d printer so that i can make my own cutters. do you have a suggestion for a printer for someone just starting out?

There are many ways to make cutters, these are two methods that I use. Tinkercad for designing, or alternatively using Cura, or any open 3d printing slicing software, to use settings that will produce cookie cutter shapes
