What was the boat designed to accomplish? Was there a specific purpose in mind? If it was designed for rough seas I'd like to see it on the Columbia River Bar when the surfs up. The only other boats I've ever seen out there in those conditions are the 44 and 47 foot Motor Life Boats from the USCG, which of course are self righting.

Nice images, thanks for sharing (BTW, what specific World Record?) but all your video production is ruined when the 'vocal talent' is drowned out by intrusive background music. I guess you have a 'dead cat' on the mic, as there is little wind noise and the vocals are soft but if you sorted your levels properly in post for the spoken parts, these vids would be so much more enjoyable.

How much does one of those Wildcat 60 boats cost? Very cool.

Here's a cool video of 'Thunder Child' undergoing rough weather trials in the recent storms. We managed to get some really great footage of her in 50kt winds and 6m waves, during which she handled fabulously. Happy to say her Caterpillar engines have run faultlessly since launch, essential in these extreme conditions.
