This video is real. This happened during Brisbane floods. Many vessels and the pontoons they were attached to, were ripped from their moorings by flood waters. The river became full of semi submerged debris. At the beginning of this video the stern of the blue yacht strikes an object in the water, that resembles a white rail of some kind. It quickly does fatal damage to the yacht causing it to sink, almost drowning the person who went to save it.

It was obviously his yacht and probably his home as well. He knows the risk and was prepared to take it, good on him, at least some men in the world still have some courage

It is a good idea to keep your vessel sea worthy and be prepared for anything. A boat will be a boat.

Surging waters on the Brisbane River caused a yacht to sink, taking its skipper with it. When the Orion broke free of its mooring and ran into floating debris, the damaged vessel began to take on water. Skipper Russell Bentley swam out and climbed on board the yacht to assess the damage. A friend sailed out came to assist and both men were caught in the sinking boat. As the yacht rolled over and sank, Bentley hit his head and was taken deep underwater. A nearby police boat later rescued both men. RT on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/RTnews RT on Twitter: http://twitter.com/RT_com
