My fiancé and I are planning a trip to St Thomas for our honeymoon. You mentioned ferrying over to St. John. Neither of us have current passports. Is this something we could do without a passport? we are both US citizens. Thanks for the great info!!

Thanks a lot for this video. it helps put a lot of things in perspective. I will be traveling on a cruise to St Thomas and will be there from 7 AM to 6 PM. I scheduled a jeep rental from AVIS right in the Havensight Mall. I heard there are some good mountain peaks and a few safari like routes in St Thomas that I can take the Jeep on... Any chance you could help guide us as to where we could go with a rented jeep and a limited number of hours? Your favorite spots?

good video thank you. 8 of us from Ireland are heading on an Easter Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral in July. We are not that keen on beaches. Can you recommend a good tour or tour company that would give us some history of the island and then some time for shopping and sight seeing. Many thanks

I'd previously been to St. Thomas for a week before later taking a cruise that also had St. Thomas as a port of call. I booked an excursion to Trunk Bay on St. John through the cruise ship and it was totally worth it! None of these excursions give you a lot of time anywhere but we had several hours at St. John and it was an awesome experience!

Why do you have video of you talking in the background at the beginning? It's confusing, bc if you didn't know better, you'd think the sound was messed up. Also dude, ppl are going to have fun on what might be their only time there....maybe show a little enthusiasm.

The current duty-free allowance per US citizen is $1600 per person and I don't think that loose diamonds, loose tanzanite, etc. are counted against that allowance....always check with customs to be sure =) Almost every watch brand including Patek Philippe, Panerai, Vacheron Constantine, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre, Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Ulysse Nardin and MUCH MORE can purchased very nicely discounted in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. Ajante Jewelers is the best jewelry store in the world! It is located in Drake's Passage in Charlotte Amalie. They have loose diamonds and loose tanzanite. They also have a vast array of diamonds and other stones that are already mounted. If you're not yet engaged, I'd recommend flying to St. Thomas and buying the engagement diamond and/or ring there. You'll likely score a much better engagement ring and even with the airfare and hotel, it'll likely cost less than it would in the United States. Ajante Jewelers are great people!
