I've been on that journey 5 times, but not since they started using this ship, my concern is whales and other marine life. Twice, the ferry we were on, hit a whale as it came up for air, and if those old, slower ships couldn't stop in time, what about this ship? It would slice the poor whale in two in seconds, I wonder if they compensated for this danger? Both times the whale was killed, I felt so bad for the poor animal, I pray the Cat doesn't hit them. I live in Toronto, but it's faster to drive through the eastern States to Bar Harbour, Maine (beautiful state by the way), and take the ferry right to Nova Scotia, where all of my mom's family lives. Guess I'll find out everything for myself, I'm going for a visit this summer, I didn't know about the new ferries, should be exciting!

As long as the wind don't blow or there is a wave. These things are the most useless things on the water Condor Liberation running to the Channel Islands is now know as Condor Liability. Well known for rotting the vehicles on board due to the handy bloody great hole in the front allowing sea water to drench the vehicles. Don't bother to eat on board, you'll never keep it down.

Such arrogance. Claim its the fasted in the world then admit in the video its only the fastest in north America. Like there is a whole world out there and it actually has some amazing stuff like cats that are as fast if not faster.

How does it handle rough weather at 90 kph?
-
At 3:54 Someone should study some maths or something here! 55 knots is about 102 km/h, not 90 km/h !

The British Columbia government was responsible for a huge waste of taxpayer's money in the '90's when the New Democratic Party (socialist, of course) set out to restore the failing shipbuilding industry in B.C. by ordering the building of a Fast Cat fleet. The ships were completely unsuited for the conditions and were a huge disappointment for the travelers used to the slower but more enjoyable trips on the existing "C" class ferries.
