One more reason I prefer private boats, though I do understand there are very good boats and crews. I have seen grown men act like 6th grade bullies when someone has the nerve--to be ignorant and not know, never have heard about bananas. Chew someone out, throw their banana over the side, and act like it is a serious life threatening issue. Ignorant fools; one test that is foolproof is that when some deckhand, is mad as a hornet and yet, starts stammering, unable to give you a coherent explanation of "what the F is the problem". This banana crap is NO different from the old days when deckhands would cut your line if you had the "gall" to bring a spinning rod on board. Ignorant fools.

I had a spider lay an egg sack in my beard. Yeah.

Thanks Dan, a deckhand on a party boat in Berkeley California told me a completely different story about bananas on the boat.

Love the local videos!
Can you do a video on California Sheephead? I have never caught cooked or ate one but heard they are very good. -

Haha I've had some pretty bad trips with bananas on board and also some pretty good ones.

I asked a local skipper why he didn't want bananas on his boat and he said "This ain't no f#%*@&g banana boat!" LOL

In Hawaii, they can get very hostile if you bring bananas on their boat. The locals are very superstitious! So be ye warned...
and remember the tighter the line the better the time. -
Spiders on a boat, yikes!
-
I just heard it was bad luck!? Like changing the name on a boat, or a woman on board.

Thanks Dan!!!
