It's is to say what you would do after the fact but. I would have tryed towing boat to shore before it filled up that far. Would have been easier .

Ran 'er for years, til the transom got rotten. A piece of my childhood to never be forgotten.

The wood under the fiberglass was rotten and we didn't know it. Over the course of the day the boat took on a lot of water under the fiberglass and finally the wood on either side of the motor buckled and the motor fell down (thankfully stayed attached, but it was under the water). Water rushed in from the back, sinking the boat. Thankfully we flagged down the rest of our group on a pontoon boat not too far away and were able to save almost everything off the boat and get a ride to shore.
