Have you tested the smaller Blackjack 24 inch? I'm new to RC boating and am trying to decide between that and its brother the Shockwave 26'? Any thoughts… they both run appear to run on the same components… for a smaller pond (2acres) would you go with the Shockwave deep 9" full or the BJ 24 catamaran style (is turning a difference between the two? Thoughts / Opinions?? -

The Blackjack 29 does not have the best cover that I have seen! For a boat that costs over $400. you think the cover would stay on. I have had mine blow off and the clear cover does not float, mine sank and I lost it. Now I tape them on every time I use it. That being said this is by far the best boat I have ever owned! Running 4s 15,200ma I get 1 1/2 hrs run time. I found that the Spartan cuts through the water a bit better but takes no skill to drive, where this boat requires you to drive it as it rides on air and can be a bit more to handle. Yes it will run 6s but I find 4s is plenty. Tis has been one of the best purchases I have made. LOVE IT!

This is a review of the Pro Boat Blackjack 29 Catamaran brushless rc racing boat. The claim of this boat is that it is ready to race. While it is very fast there are some tuning points that need to be addressed before racing. The boat while ready to run 6s runs best on 4s. With a properly tuned hull and prop the 4S setup can be ridiculously fast. Check out how this thing runs. * There is a correction to my video. I am running this on 4s total lipo, I am using two 2s lipo. If you were to run it on 8s total you would fry it. The only way to run two 4s batteries would be in parallel. *
