slow down brother!! I know this goes back to May but you got too much on the plate! How's the homestead progressing?
-
Daft question, are the holes at the stern for ballast flooding?

So much wasted time in this video... TMI!

I bet you paid less than $100 for this boat. Its a labor of love. I know. I love boats too hence my YouTube name. Lol. Any idea the weight of it? Its a shame that no one showed an interest in it other than you. I love going to auctions myself. You can get some really good deals and you can get a lot of crap too. They do say boat means bust out another thousand. You've got your work cut out for you. Lol. I've got a 1959 Larson Playboy boat that I'd love to restore. I need a windshield for it and new paint.

Must think of a great name . Love to see her shinning like new.

Nothing can provide such an odd mix of joy and frustration as a wooden boat. I once restored an old 1957 Lyman 19.5ft runabout with original outboard engine and trailer. It was beautiful, and got compliments and started conversations whenever I took it out. It also required constant maintenance and fixing. Eventually I got tired of tinkering and sold it. Its easier now to just remember the good times.

Beautiful !! I'm used to Barge and Tugs on the Mississippi but did see afew large Vessels such as that from time to time out there when I still lived in the midwest. Traveled alot with my job and always enjoyed going to the coastal areas to see the Boats people had such joy in owning/operating. You have a Prize worth more than many..Congrats and Gods speed with her !!

I am a wooden boat lover too. That is a true gem. I just saw a seaworthy 1964 ChrisCraft with twin 283 Chevys for $2400. So tempting...
-
I'm guessing you paid around 250 300 for it.

Wow!! What a boat. No matter what you think now or what you hear from people, this boat will find a place in you're life when the time is right. It would make a nice tree fort for us boys at the new homestead as well! Wrap it up tight and keep it safe until it's redneck voyage. Cheers, (man that is some serious oak planks on the side of that girl)

that is one cool boat, neat project. can't wait to see the up close video.

Hi Josh ! Just a awesome looking boat , great sheer lines I can't believe no one challenged you. I worked as a wooden boat builder for many years , building the famous Cape IsLander / Novi and different types of cruisers , 18 feet and up. What you have there is a Gem , what a neat project in the process of bringing her to her once proud state. I hope you will bring her back to life sooner than later ! Hfx NS. Canada

Didn't I remember you getting embarrassed about the ambulance as well :) You may have to put it on the back burner but a wonderful project for the future. Congratulations
