Is the Dinghy variant 1 and 2 equally fast? Cause v1 is a two seater and v2 is a four seater.
Also is there really any point to getting custom boats for races vs just picking out stock ones from the race menu? Can you customize them any at all? -

i can agree with like most of your guides, but the boat race one doesnt seem right, i always lose to a speeder/jetmax as dinghy, even tho i try to race properly like only brake for really hard corners , else i try to approach the corners properly by not driving straight into them.
also i have a question , it seemed i mostly lose , because i basically jump really high with a dinghy and other guys take over, is it because the dinghy is so light and the others are a bit more heavier? so they basically win because of the weight? im not sure. what do i do , to not hit waves so hard that i fly high?

Hi. I noticed that you respond to the people asking questions and Im interested in the top end speed of the boats as I use them to just travel around out in the ocean where turning doesn't matter. Anyway, in terms of raw top speed is the speeder or jet max the fastest? I'm not counting acceleration either just pure top end speed. Thanks for your time (:

Before I even watched this video I knew the dingy would be #1 100% guranteed, seashark is horrid, and the speeder is decent. I do water races and have gotten very good at them something different and good fun (Hint : pull back on the analog stick)

Opinions are useless, straight line drag races are useless, even two people racing against each other in different vehicles is useless. For this video I personally tested every boat in GTA V around the same track multiple times and in the exact same way, and let the best lap time each boat achieved determine which was the fastest. Done as fairly and as objectively as possible, this video finally gives a definitive list of the quickest boats in GTA V. I chose the Cutting Coroners track (which I had to recreate in the same layout on the sea) for this because it was a perfect test bed. It has a nice mix of long straights, fast corners, heavy breaking points, low speed corners, and different acceleration zones. Using the same track was obviously vital to be able to compare lap times but so was driving it in the same way. The lines I use aren't 100% optimal but they do allow for repeatability and consistency, which is all that matters. You'll see a few seconds of footage from each boat, with more footage for the top three and the full best lap from the fastest boat in the class.
