I'm 49 with osteoporosis, I can't lift a lot of heavy stuff, would this stop me from getting this job as stew? Is there a class that would finance the 1000.00?

How much time do the engineers get off? Where i live we get 1/1 shore/ship time.

O.k., this is a FANTASY video.
Now, you want the TRUTH?
You wake up before the guests, you don't quit working till the last one has fallen asleep... no sooner than midnight. All those beautiful islands, you're too tired to go explore. Partying? Yes, its the most common way for a deckie or a stew to get FIRED. And what's this crap about 'hanging with famous' people??? NO. You serve them, and if you're lucky, they won't complaint to the point of making you wonder why you quit your previous career.
THAT'S REALITY of working on yachts. I've done it for 12 years, its not a fantasy as this video portrays, its very, very hard work. You'll either endure to like it, or if you think its a fantasy, you won't last a year. Sorry, I just want people to know the truth about the industry. -
Been there done that...
