Great review! I was looking at the website. is this the 14" pointed model... they list the weight at 41 lbs.

Thanks for the video, lot of great info that helped me get started with my Sportspal. Question: Did you have to extend the wires of your trolling motor to put the battery in the front? If so, could you note what you used and how you did it please? Thanks again!

is a light canoe harder to control in high winds? also do you find it easier to use a side mound for the trolling motor or a rear mount?

Great video! Have been reading some negative reviews about the poor solo paddling ability about this canoe. - I fishing 75% of the time in Paddle only lakes, so it has me a bit concerned. Thanks !!

WOW that's awesome Man, 58lbs that's unreal! I guessed 80-90lbs, definitely a lil gem ya got there! I'm currently building a wood canoe geared toward standing also as I Bowfish too, so I have made my own custom templates to widen the floor a couple inches and also change the bottom profile to make it slightly flatter and a tad more square to spread the surface area as much as possible within reason of course, and so it doesn't look hokey too! But, I really really like you're canoe, nice setup!! 👍👍

great review ,, very thorough.. I'm definitely buying one of these , was wondering do you have the American version or the Canadian ,,thickness wise ,,, and wondering if I need the 14 ft or the 12 ,,mostly fish alone always ,,,,is the stability and tracking be the same in your opinion ,or am I overthinking it... lol ,,, we would be buds ,, awesome channel

Great job! This has got to be the the most informative and comprehensive video out there on this type of canoe! I've been looking at various types of water crafts for lakes and I think you've solved my dilemma.

May I ask how long are the Thule Aero bars for accommodating this canoe? - due to the beam of the sportspal is 44 inches plus the length of the Thule load stops should be in the 60 inch or so range? - thanks

thanks for making such a great video! I just picked up a sportspal canoe (the smaller 12ft one -I'm little and by myself) and watching your video has me really happy I got it. Initially I got it to paddle around the marina and maybe the river next to it but seeing what your doing I think I will be getting a rack for my corolla and outfitting my canoe so I can find the cool places like you did. can't wait to give it some tlc over the winter. thanks again!

Just a few quick questions: did you ever consider the "X-13" Sportspal with the transom? If you did and chose the "regular" canoe over it what was your reasoning? Thank you again for the great review.

Fantastic review. I'm still debating between the Sportspal and the Jackson Kilroy DT. Seem to approach the same "problem set" from different angles. Decisions, decisions.

Looks real quiet in the water Nice!

Love your rig... you can see mine on my channel. Great tips thanks!!!

You should invite out Jon B. It would be a huge boost to your subs and you are like a more mature (middle aged) version of him.

Perfect. The best review and presentation I've ever seen on you tube...

Are you a shoreline fisherman looking to take that important step and get your first watercraft? Perhaps you have a full sized boat, but want something smaller and move maneuverable for accessing waters you are currently unable to. Whatever your reasons are the Sportspal canoe is an exemplary craft for fishing small to medium size bodies of water. In this video I highlight why I chose it over a jon boat, kayak, or other competing canoes. In a nutshell the Sportspal is the lightest, most stable, and most spacious small watercraft available. If you are looking for a superbly versatile small boat...you just found it!
