Right now fossil fuels provides the energy to the power poles to charge this motorcycle. Either that or nuclear energy..

am i missing something? here in California all of these drivers would die weaving between cars. if the nearby drivers in cars do not see them... then they are noticed by the roar of the motorcycles.... these things are quiet).

How many watts and volts?

what did they say about the Americans not knowing something?
-
It way too loud. I'd never buy an electric bike that sounds like this. It's awful. Will they have an option for a silent bike? All I want to hear is the wind and maybe some music.

needs to be around 8,000 or under.

i love the possibilities of the electric bike. i want to develop a solar suit for riders that charges the bike as you drive

I'm glad you liked it. I am also a petrol-head, but watching the development of electric vehicles, (bikes and cars), I am fast becoming a Kilowatt-head. As long as the thrill and exhilaration is there, I'd have one! If you want noise and vibration, I'm sure programmable sound and vibratory aftermarket kits will become available for whatever bike you wish it to be. (They could even supply a little pump to push out drops of old engine oil onto a heater element for the authentic Triumph experience, or Castrol R for the racer in you. For the Royal Enfield aficionados it could be made to drip old oil from a dispenser! ;-) )

Thanks for a very good and informative review. However, for me, that whining sound would drive me crazy. Give me the good old Parallel Twin any day. The sound of a combustion engine is 50% of the enjoyment.
Here is the video of my ride on the Harley-Davidson LiveWire on a private test track of Michelin.
