The Superyacht Security Summit was devised to focus on preventing, avoiding & dealing with security & piracy threats against superyachts today & in the future. The second ever Superyacht Security Summit run by Superyacht Events returned with a bang on Wednesday 28 March at Glaziers Hall, London. The event ran back-to-back with the Superyacht Fiscal Summit, on Thursday 29 March at the same venue. With a packed programme, some of the world's leading figureheads gathered together to answer questions and discuss the current issues within maritime and security. A drinks reception followed where everyone to continue their networking and discussed the issues of the day. The programme focused on the major threats, concepts for protection and mitigation. Leading experts presented their views on the current criminal and piracy activity across the world that can directly affect the cruising and operational criteria for superyachts in the future. It wasn't all about Somalia and the Gulf of Aden; superyachts have other threats that were addressed, such as cyber crime, petty theft and general guest and crew safety.
