The Sunseeker Predator 80 is an iconic European designed super yacht which has been enormously popular in Australian waters. In this boat review, boatadvice.com.au journalist Tony Crawford talks to Nick Lean from Sunseeker England about the key highlights of the Predator 80. Capable of accommodating eight people with four double cabins, Sunseeker unashamedly aim this boat squarely at the Rolls Royce style buyer. The boat is opulent throughout and designed to be an escape from the real world for and owner. Classier than your home layout, Boatadvice were impressed with the four ensuite cabins expansive galley and luxury additions such as wine coolers and bar fridges. Lush leather is used thoughtfully but most impressive is the rear garage that houses a tender and opens via a hydraulic door. Sunseeker have designed this boat with an open air feel with a fully opening sunroof and a bow and aft lounge arrangement. Comfort is everywhere but don’t be fooled the Sunseeker boats are renowned for their handling and sporty feel. At planning speeds, range is a low 250 miles, but cruising speed will net you closer to 1500 making east coast cruising well within reach and with a crew cabin, who wouldn’t want to. A real boat for the connoisseur, the Sunseeker Predator 80 is a fine vessel suited to those with Rolls Royce tastes.
