What a shame more narrowboat don't end up like this!!! At least then the canals in the UK would be a lot cleaner. The water would be less polluted without the crap these want-to-be sailors throw in the water and surrounding areas. After visiting the local canal near me, it's obvious who is leaving all the shit in the bushes and on the towpaths. The fish stocks and wildlife on some canals are now nearly totally destroyed due to pollution. The canals used to be the motorways of the country, now most of them are just brown oily soup. If these so called sailors want a boat....go to sea in a real boat and stop pissing about trolling up and down at a snails pace destroying everything in their wake.........

bw often take boats from people by sending private companies ie thieving bailiffs helped by scumbag police who are supposed to remain impartial according to there own oath altho they always assist private company bailiffs so therefore not acting under the oath to protect the public that they serve and public property there supposed to protect .that narrow boat was someone's home until be took it and let it get wrecked before selling g it on for there own gain .wankers. .. oh and before some Un educated idiot wants to blast me for calling the police scumbags I'm only referring to the ones who dont uphold there oath not the small majority that doo .I understand that they have a genuine hard job to do but when they favor major corporate over the public we in big trouble .bad times coming

I hear that it is illegal to remove the homes of travellers. EU legislation apparently. Example; a caravan was stolen near here, and sold to a traveller family. The Police found the caravan but would not repossess it because it breached the travellers human rights. Seems to me the same thing applies to live aboard boaters.

I'm glad to hear that the Narrowboat was saved. It's a good looking boat and deserves to be rescued. Hope the former owner is faring better now. Congratulations to the new owner who bought it at auction. Hope we get to see it after restoration.

Isn't there a piece of legislation which allows you to freely take a boat off the side of the river, if it's nowhere near any residence and has been at that site for at least a few years? My family and I are on the Thames, and we frequently see decaying and tired old cabin cruisers lying around :(

All 3 Cruisers. 2x Norman 23's 1x Norman 20 Bw will only chop them up as there value is under £1K The Narrowboat should have a future unless it is torched or sinks. Mariners are full of boats which nobody seem to go near , yet someone is paying the mooring. There's a thought is there a marina nearby ? Could be mooring fee's have not been paid , so the boat was evicted to the towpath ? I've seen it done near me by D,M,B,C. they just push them over to the towpath and tie them up. I

A sad sight for us Norman owners. To think all those boats were someones pride and joy once . Bw will wait till the boats have made an enormous environmental problem ! Then multiply it by cutting them up in the water !

A follow up to the video I did last year, same spot same boats, it seems that British Waterways, the governing body of the UK canal system, seem to not care about keeping the canals tidy and looking good, only about getting their money from licence payers and sinking the boats of those unable to pay... Three of the boats have been there for well over a year, the fourth appearing within the last few months, so either this is a BW dumping ground, or people are coming to dump their boats, who knows!!! Anyway, I spoke a few comments, so have a listen... :)
