The vanes on the turbo quiet it down quite a bit compared to a naturally aspirated engine with open exhaust. I think it sounds great.
I think you should get some practice welding. Have your buddy teach you. Fabricating skills will really expand your projects. Just grab some old junk pieces of metal and practice melting them together.
Final note, penetrating lube will help with rusted exhaust parts and removing and installing the rubber hangers are a breeze with it. I'm used to working on a lot older stuff than this. It kinda becomes essential. -
Nice job well done, sounds throaty.. ;)

That's some mighty fine work lol i think it should come up a bit . maybe just loosen the clamp and bring it up. Don't want to risk the paint though and come too close. once it's warmed up it's pretty quiet but has a good tone under acceleration. there seems to be a gap between shifts almost sounds like a Standard lol

Sounds like my PT Cruiser with an exhaust leak up near the header...
Go check out FullThrottle440!! https://www.youtube.com/user/Fullthrottle440 --------------------- I finally did it!!!! Ever since I bought my 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT turbo, I wanted to modify the exhaust. I knew it would sound amazing, and plus for such a small modification it could really help free up the turbo. So today, with the help of Dean (aka FullThrottle440) we get that big ol' heifer of a muffler outta' there and go for a straight pipe out the back! Be sure and comment your thoughts below, and as always thanks for watching and enjoy! --------------------- Follow us on social media: Instagram: https://instagram.com/channelcge Twitter: https://twitter.com/channelcge --------------------- Thanks again for watching, you rock!!
