This is a modular course: 1. STCW 95 Basic Safety Training is a compulsory qualification for crew on superyachts and all vessels over 24 metres. - STCW 95 Elementary First Aid - STCW 95 Personal Survival Techniques - STCW 95 Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities - STCW 95 Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting 2. RYA Powerboat Level 2 is required to drive the yacht's tenders in many countries. This is a primary function of deck crew, so Captains expect to see this qualification on your CV or resume. This two-day course provides intensive training in the practical skills and theory knowledge needed by the small boat driver. 3. Superyacht Deck Foundation is an intensive three day course to teach you the basic tasks that will be required of you, including a practical day on a luxurious motor yacht in Cowes Harbour. 4. RYA Short Range Radio (GMDSS/DSC) is a requirement under maritime law so you can talk on the radio. This one-day course teaches you standard radio techniques and emergency procedures. 5. On completion of this course, you will have all the qualifications required to apply for a job as a deckhand on a superyacht.
