Shame the "Best Boat" award was from a magazine who just happen to advertise the boat. I know some Pro Fishermen who recon she broaches real bad in a following sea.

I think Stabicraft boats are really great. Having been on a lot of boats including a Stabicraft Supercab, if I had $100k I would order one today! One mod I would ask for though would be to have the sponsons extended past the transom, (like on a commercial RIB e.g. Atlantic 85) it would help lift the stern to keep the boat and engine dry when static in a choppy sea, it also protects the engine a little and adds even more stability with no addition to length overall. :)

Mybe some day I will move up to a cabin and heater..But for now ,a tent and my 14 footer will do

@BENY247365 Thanks Beny. Our range covers 14 to 34 feet. All have the same design principles so there should be one there to suit you.

Still my favourite boat. I was sold at 'safety rating probably higher then Air Force One'. I'll definitely have to buy one in the future now
The Stabicraft 2150 Supercab, designed and built in Invercargill, New Zealand, has been named Australia's Greatest Alloy Boat 2011 by Trailerboat magazine. For more information head to www.stabicraft.com It eased out strong competition from Bar Crusher's 610 Apache, Surtees' 4.85 Workmate, Noble's 7.5 Centre Console and White Pointer's 750 Hard Top. Wowing the judges with its resolute toughness, clever yet functional layout and exceptional ride, this was the boat that inspired real confidence. A host of glowing comments included "outstanding stability at rest", quite frankly, a sports car on water" and superb at top speed, in rough conditions and in all directions." Each finalist was assessed by ten criteria, starting with suitability for fishing, innovation, design and layout, quality of finish, handling and ride, and stability at rest. Add in ergonomics, standard equipment, value for money and that indefinable X-Factor, and the total scores reveal the winner.
