Looks like they headed up, dumped power but the wing didn't rotate enough to dump power. My bet is that even if they had, there is still enough surface area high up to keep the pressure on. Once the ama is driven that deep and the boat slows, The hull lift can't overcome remaining power. I love twist top full batten flexible sails for this reason. Boom goes up and EVERTRHING spills.
