What was the wind speed in this video ?

You obviously put some serious thought into the mount of your GoPro. I see your pivot on the forestay, but how did you keep it facing back at you without bouncing all around? I know you will not divulge your secret, but it is an awesome and so is your video. I hope to make a video half as good as yours on the Chesapeake before summer is done!

Great work sir. Please, for the love of god..... show us a picture of how your camera is mounted. You could send me an email. nboyer941@comcast.net

I'd love to have a high res still at 2:30 hanging on my wall as a poster.

Nice boat handling. Why is the cam hanging upside down? Could you show a pic or vid of how you rigged it?

It's a GoPro hanging upside down, swinging on a pivot just below where my forestays meet. It's crude and sometimes jerky, but it beats the hell out of mounting it on a hull, which I've done -the boat stays static, hulls and mast never budging, and the world swings around wildly, behind you. It's ok, but I don't like it except in a dark room on a big screen... even then it's screwy looking.

Sailing a Prindle 16 off Crescent Beach on Block Island, very calm sea and fairly light wind, guessing about 8mph.
