You would get more camber in higher winds, which is exactly the opposite of what is wanted. Full marks for creativity and ingenuity, but awfully complicated to build.

A struggle to raise because of its weight. Horrendously complicated structure. How is the angle of attack controlled - guesswork?

Nice. Should be easy to have multiple reefs, just lower the rig 1 "hoop" and attach to boom

Wow, impressing concept. Till now I knew only the fixed wingsails like used at the Americas cup. Are you also able to reef that sail? Any ideas for bigger sailboats?

wow, that design concept could lead to great break throughs in wings, nice

Great song choice...

Early February 2014, the SoftWing team tested a new version of its wing sail, rigged on a F18 catamaran. The benchmark / proof-of-measure was made with high ambitions in mind, since the reference F18 we used for benchmarking, rigged with classic sails was performed to the top for the past years by its former owner, Jérémie Lagarrigue, F18 worldchampion in 2013. Stay tuned to learn more about the proof-of-measure.
I am a thinker and wonder about if you added a small horizontal wing with flaps like a plane (one up one down) to aid the wing twist effect and keep the boat flat on the water to get more speed with out tipping over. It would have to be near the top for a more effective attack if the mast could take the stress.
I dont know does this sound feasible?
