SNS Nail - Signature Nail Systems: How to do Pink & White dipping powder? Dip it instruction 1

I've had SNS nails since early 2012 and I absolutely LOVE them! They are so much more comfortable and durable than any other nail treatment (acrylic, gel, etc.) Prior to SNS nails, I tried acrylic nails approximately 10 times (every couple of years) and every time I'd end up wanting to kick myself a day or two after getting them because they hurt and ALWAYS broke within a few days. I'd get them removed and wait FOREVER for my poor nails to recover. Gel and shellac were not strong enough and my nails would always break if I used those methods. I have NEVER had an SNS nail break, chip, or get damaged. I even smashed my finger in a door while moving and caused bruising, swelling and blood blisters on my finger, but my SNS nail was still perfect! Another great thing about them is they don't damage your nails. I had to have mine removed for several months due to some medical issues/surgeries and my nails were stronger and healthier than they had ever been before I started using SNS! It truly is a nail system that promotes the health of your nails instead of destroys them. I've recommended SNS nails to many friends and family members, especially when it first came out (at least in my area) and they all now have SNS nails. Try them if you haven't - you'll love them! Everyone I know who has tried them say will never go back to acrylic.

Can this be done with tips?

It depends, what salon you go to and how rough they are with your nails. If you go to a nail salon that take pride in providing the best products and services with quality and care, then the outcome of your end result with your nails will show. The power tool with this particular nail system is used very gently to exfoliate the shine layer off your nails. There are some nail technicians in "certain salons" that are very careless when using the power tool and they do damage the nail when used inappropriately. As with everything in life.

Right off the bat, I'm already doubtful. I was told by a nail competition judge that the power tool should NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE USED ON THE BARE NAIL, and in fact was what destroyed my nails, leaving them so paper thin, that the nails SNAPPED WITHIN 1/16TH OF AN INCH OF MY CUTICLE. I had this happen on FOUR NAILS AT ONCE. Talk about a painful nightmare FOR A MONTH. Not to mention they were left terribly vulnerable to infection. It's a miracle they did not become infected. I kept them wrapped in bandages for a month until they could grow out. Since then I have shunned faux nails, but it would be so nice to have pretty nails again, only WITH SOMETHING SAFE AND NON-DAMAGING THIS TIME! I thought I had discovered it here, until I saw that dreaded power tool!

My nails were badly damaged from the solar pink and white. With SNS product, I was able to reverse the damage as well :) When you said Gel Nails damaged your nails, do you mean by gel that is polish form or gel that gets hardened like acrylic? Because the gel that is in the polish form never damaged my nails.
