As a sailor with some cruising experience and a few Trans Pacific crossings, I consider this to be a superb design.
I would go cruising on this catamaran any day.
When cruising there are always options and compromise.
1.- Either load up and lower your water line with amenities and pay the price
or
2.- Maintain a high tech, quality , functional design and keep a permanent smile on all aboard as you do more sailing.
Most of the seasoned cruising sailors I have spoken to would prefer the second option mentioned
Congratulations Mr. Le Breton ! -
Awful music. Also, that is NOT a cruising catamaran. It's strictly for racing and day sailing.

Hi Sugarsail. Thanks for the comments. In fact we do have two opening diving platforms in the transoms. And the accommodation is very comfortable for 4-6. The owner of boat #1 cruises large parts of the Mediterranean with his wife and the second boat regularly travels up and down the US west coast. The SIG45 clearly does not have the amount of accommodation as a more traditional "condo-cat" but she sails well and safely. Hull flying is restricted to full sails, tight sheets and a racing crew.

"cruising cat" lol.....no bridge deck, flies a hull in 15 knots of wind, no shade for the helmsman, no swim step for cleaning fish or diving...right...cruising cat, that's it. Nice boat though.

Hello Matthew, iappsdev. The SIG45 is CE category A and is designed for oceanic crossings. Naturally one would not push the boat hard without a good crew on board, just like you would not drive your Porsche as you would on a track day if you had your kid in the passenger seat!

yes, would be great to see if it's capable for Cat: A or at least B. :) 1 million bucks but could be just for inshore

What a boat...!!!

I've been following Hugo Le Breton and his SIG45 project for a couple of years now. It's great to see his vision becoming reality. One day when i grow up i'll have one.... :)

"cruising" cat hahaha...right.

I really love this catamaran. I would like to see it sail in larger 2-3 meter seas!
-
That is one hell of a boat

EXCELLENT !!!!

Onboard sailing footage of the SIG45. The video shows how fast and smooth the boat is. Thanks to her intuitive deck layout and large rudders, she is very easy to control, even when flying the hull high.
