Makes one wonder why sailing ships had such a thing as the crow's nest with someone much higher than deck level looking for the tops of other sails, huh. Spare me the "perspective" gibberish.
-
Are we going to ignore that we are watching ships go from left to right and not actually "away" from anyone front to back?

Choppy water cannot produce a reflection. The small boat in front of the red ship at 2:16 into the video demonstrates this because you can STILL SEE the inverted superstructure of the ship even as the boat passes. Proving this MUST be a refraction. The light would be blocked by the boat if it were a reflection. So Jeran's analysis is flawed. The major takeaway from this video is that, even with the inferior refraction, the red ship disappears behind the horizon BOTTOM FIRST. Just as we would expect, and in accordance with the correct horizon math. Not the idiotic tangent line math that you mention.

Please make a video in which you prove the speed of light.

lol when you show the cars going over the hill they disappear from view. meaning they are going over the curvature of the hill, just like when boats go over the curvature of the earth lol you just debunked your own video lol

10:30 No, that's just wrong. The horizon does not curve side to side, only away from you. It is a circle that you are in the middle of. Cities disappear over the horizon across water from a distance, just as the globe Earth calculations predict. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/33/Toronto_seen_across_lake_Ontario_from_Olcott_2.JPG

You mentioned a superior mirage, where an object appears to be elevated higher of the horizon than what it really is. How many feet above the actual horizon line would you say a superior mirage would appear? Possibly 10, 15, even 20 feet depending on the conditions? How far of a curve did you say the earth was supposed to have and at what distances? You said that mirages appear distorted and wave like the heat coming off the ground right? What did that red tanker look like when it started disappearing from the zoomed in shot? The boats you said just looked liked they were flying off in the distance, they looked pretty distorted didn't they? How far out would you say they were?
OH and I must point out, did you notice when the tanker started disappearing completely from the shot, you could see much more of the back end than the front? Like it was wedge shaped with the fat end at the back.......... Would you say that would be characteristic of something that was disappearing over a hill, or a mountain peak or I dunno maybe....................... The curve of the earth? -
ROB SKIBA IS A DUMB PIECE OF SHIT

That's so cute, you people keep showing proof that what you're trying to prove is wrong :'D

HELP!
i think my eyes, ears and brain just got cancer! -
So God made the other planets round but the earth flat . Sure , that makes total sense . Ah the deceivers are strong nowadays .

first eye vision vs scope (strength) will depend how far one can see. The Earth 2 inches per mile. The idea of 10 ft in your video in 3 min of the ship was rediculous. The USS Enterprise cruised 25 knots per hour and could get to 40 knots which is 46mph so less than 2 miles at flank speed in those 3 min.. the avg speed of a tanker is 8 knots or 9 MPH so 1 hour would equal to 18 inches, not 10 ft. So with a proper scope can easily still see a ship. Avg eye can see about 3 miles on the sea, and that is due to the heat on the sea makes it harder to see far vs on land. When I look ahead from a hill on the Hwy the cars disappear at about 2 miles. because of hills, not due to curvature. At sea, on a USN Ship like a carrier you can be over 15-stories above the water. When away from land (Can't see Land) one can see farther due less heat from the cities and land. So when looking from a beach, you have the heat from the land/city you are near. Which changes vision factors. For a 10 story (100 ft) Tanker to actually to disappear at 2 inches per mile that would be what 600 miles? We don't have the Hubble on earth. Rob you even show the earth curvature in 1000's of miles, It is a drop of only 2 inches per mile. We live on a very large ball. So a Jet at 5 miles above the earth and a 100 ft drop at 600 miles, it would still be hard to see that ship drop off the curvature. Looking left to right still is only about 25 miles per your eye, that is about 4ft, and at 1-5 miles away the naked eye or a scope could not see the difference. Basic math, not animation proves this video does not have the right information. I still don't understand why it even matters if the Earth is Round or Flat r/t my Faith. Both impress me with YHWH creation abilities. Animation is what the creator comes up with, plus using "Cutters or Frigates of 1800s" which are not that big 15-25 ft to top of the mast still in those animations looked not that far apart and they are maybe max 200 ft long the animation of what 8 of them with small distance shown between them is less than 1 mile in that animation. Sailors understand what you see on the water, may not be exactly where that object is. Take several balls of different sizes from a golf ball, to a ferris wheel, and the distance of curvature drops are different, then take a ball that is almost 25,000 miles around and you have to get a distance away from it before you see its curvature. That is still 6,500 miles just for a 1/4 of it's curve which clearly allows the straight view of 600 miles before that tanker would fully disapear because of curvature

Good video thanks Rob!

6:10 It looks like they are flying off because they are sailing into a reflection of the sky off the water. First the bottom is covered by the reflection then up to the top until it looks like they went behind something, but the boat just went behind a reflection.

Your numbers are wrong. You continually make reference to such data as 5 miles out should lose 20feet over the horizon ... that may be so if you are looking at sea level ... but you aren't. In most of your videos you're viewing from at least 10 feet above sea level. That then means you need to go about 10 miles before you lose 20feet over the horizon.
I don't know how anybody can take any of this serious when your most basic data is obviously wrong. -
What? The cars did disappear over a curve. I'm assuming you mean there was a hill, maybe I'm mistaken? They then sank below it. If you 'rise up', then yes, you will see them further. I'm missing something. Of course, the sun is a great tool to use to test any of this. By definition as being touted here, if I zoom in on a setting sun I should now see more of the bottom of it come back into view. Are you serious?
-
Yes I can see it, The ship goes right over the curvature of the earth, that is why you see less and less of it....you see the earth is round...yea, round...
-
great video on perspectives and what we should see on a round earth

This is a segment of the upcoming extended version of my Chicago skyline video (still working on it). In this clip, I show strong evidence that ships do NOT go over any curve as many a ball Earther would have us believe. There is no equivalent evidence on the x axis of the same curvature we supposedly observe on the Z axis and when you rise up on the y axis the horizon ALWAYS rises with you. This is not possible if we are on a ball. The x and z axis would have to match and the horizon could never rise with you on the y axis. "It looks like it's floating on air, but actually that is water out there. It is being miraged by the Sun. The same kind of mirage that you see at the end of a long freeway or in the desert. That's the same thing you see there. But of course they wouldn't tell you that."
Sorry, what does this mean? You are saying that that thing that looks like air is water, the same as these other two examples where there is no water? How do you know this is water and not air? Where does the effect come from on a road vs. on water?
