Thank God for real men!

a total capibal craft..looks like a swan

GREAT JOB! GO ACORES'
-
What a fantastic effort the Portugese did ! I'm very impressed. Flying that far out by helicopter requires a lot of
effort - and I presume mid air refueling.
There are various reasons why captains choose to abandon ther boats. In this case I bet the captains main obligation was to get his shipmates resqued and to let go his boat. The boat had been turned over twice and the interior was in shambles, the had engine stalled and was unable to get started. Shrouds had parted and the mast was unsafe. The captain/owner is an experienced sailor. All considered I'm sure he did the right choice by choosing a safe return home for all onboard. -
I'm impressed! didn't know the Portuguese could afford a helicopter. Well done lads.
-
Rock On Portuguese crew, you did a helluva job.
-
didnt look like it was sinking to me and the mast was still up
-
Never sail out far, without an extra off board engine(Mercury 250)if your rudder is gone,or sails,or in board motor, with the proper mounts and gas,you will get off the shit, you're in.
-
That yacht did not look like it was sinking, it did not even look like it was that badly battered.
-
The yacht was lost?
-
looked like they abandoned a perfectly good sailboat
-
Being a delivery skipper for twenty plus years I wouldn't a lot of jobs getting off boats and letting them sail across the Atlantic...
-
funniest av all is i bought the swan owners next boat hahah:!!! they shouldent have been sailing!! 50 knots is nothing on a swan
-
don't look like it sank to me!
-
Alguém comentou que o vento era de 50 nós mas o mar está plano, não trem ondas altas. o barco estava com problemas ou alguém se sentiu mal?
-
Qual era o problema? O mar era tranquilo, o veleiro estava navegando bem. O que tinha acontecido?
-
I'm curious to know how 1 person died. Doesn't seem to be any reason to die aboard, so it must have been in the course of the rescue? Drowned before the rescue swimmer could get there?
-
Lovely boat. If it'still out there, I'll go out and look for it. It's worth half a million at least.
-
It's a Swan 44....Norwegian flagged...crew of 4...knocked down twice...turtle once. No engine and no communication as news reports go. I would say they had enough fun at the time and wanted their money back!!!
