Other than just being awesome, is there reason why you would want a quad set-up vs 2 of these, or for smaller boats 2 or 3 OB's instead of one 625 or 557 (other than cost)?? Does it have to do with putting more props in the water for stability/redundancy?? Just curious

Sure outboards are excellent motors, but they are an eyesore to behold. I'd much rather have my engine hidden below. Plus, the cost...the horror.

Sounds like crap. Verados sounds much better. But the best is the Yamaha F350. That is how a true V8 outboard should sound.
