i have a 1/4 stationary lathe/rotator tool. can it be used on stones as well as shell? i dont know anyone elsebwith the same attachments!

I paused the video when you said that even working in water, the shell particles can be airborne and easily inhaled. I live with someone who has chronic lung disease, and I thought I'd found the solution to drilling shells when I read about drilling in water. I'm concerned now that it won't be enough and I could be putting the person's safety at risk. Do you happen to know any more about it? :s

DANGER! Dipping a corded electric tool into water is extremely dangerous. You could be electrocuted. It only takes once. Always use a cordless tool when working around or in water. Otherwise great video.

Thanks for the video. Just a note of caution; Never work in or near water whilst using tools that operate on AC electricity.

It'd be good if you could provide USE of tool for the shell process, for example use of rotary tool in this process, why is metal file or wire brush used. That would be great!! And are these the only tools used? what about giving the shells a shine? how do you do that?
It'll be really great if you could answer these doubts since I'm doing a collage assignment on shell craft. -

If the rotary tool works directly on mains power, you should be very careful while working near water. I'd recommend buying a dremel with a flexible shaft, that way you can keep away the device, and it's also lighter and easier on your hands. Or check if your brand of rotary tool has a flexible shaft available.

love your videos but sometimes the music overpowers your voice. if you have more voice less music volume it would improve the quality. Just saying....
