I left Ireland at 25 in 1995 and came to Canada,I eat lots of seafood now from all over the world, weird fish and all :-) .Although we always ate fish on Fridays("no meat on a Friday"said the church)we didn't eat much else fish other than the few trout we caught in the local rivers. When I think about it now,it is really shocking that an island nation with an abundance of seafood eat so little of it.As this documentary so correctly pointed out it's something that has to be "re-taught" to the new generations.Parents and schools can play a big part in this and in doing so make a healthier Ireland and rejuvenate our fishing industry,an under-appreciated national resource. If that happens everybody wins.Good documentary, enjoyed it.

Short documentary exploring why Ireland, a country surrounded my water, are one of the worst consumers of fish in Europe, exporting one of our greatest produce and importing other fish from thousands of miles away. Our story follows 10 teenagers from all over Northern Ireland as we show them the fishing industry, the people involved, and their craft.
